Technical contribution: Diagnose technical problems, determine corrective actions, and repair related to gas insulated switchgear. Coordination internal and external technicians and assigns them specific tasks related to service needs.
Customer approach: Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation. Maintain a good relationship with customers. Identify new sales opportunities and communicates them internally.
Materials and supply: Coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
Documentation and reports: Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Report work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot simple equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future. Provide assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary.
Operational excellence: Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Keep management informed of work progress and any problems that arise (technical Issues, manpower, contractual delays, etc.).
Health, safety and integrity: Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents. Perform all onsite activities in accordance with ABB procedures and safety requirements.

Ideally you should have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with ABB Factory trained having not less than (5) years’ of experience in maintenance of Gas Insulated Switchgear and must be well versed with drawings, safety of EHV/HV/MV GIS, sequence of operations and must be good in English.
Must have experience certificate confirming that he had worked as GIS Specialist in ABB types of switchgear.
Should be capable to undertake emergency repair jobs in the switchgear including installing of test bushings and preparing the switchgear for conducting AC & DC High Voltage tests for GIS & Cable.
