Job Description

We are looking for an IT and Application Support Engineer to manage the entire IT and Application Support requests, including the infrastructure for Infosysta and its customers in Cairo and all over the region.

The Candidate Will:

  • Manage the infrastructure including firewalls, routers, network and other.
  • Manage servers and user workstations in terms of hardware and software (operating systems and other software).
  • Manage the cloud infrastructure working with virtualization, such as VMs, and Dockers.
  • Manage the cloud hosting, availability, backups and monitoring.
  • Manage and schedule maintenance windows for servers outside of normal working hours.
  • Provide fanatic and timely support to team members in different geographical locations.
  • Suggest enhancements and back them up by business and use cases to the CSO Head.
  • Optimize server performance.
  • Manage the IT asset inventory to be up to date for all locations.
  • Create and update IT policies and best practices in the documentation center.
  • Manage the VPN connections between Infosysta and their clients.
  • Manage the security of the network (Antivirus, IPS, IDS,etc..)
  • Provide weekly reports to the CSO Head.
  • Accountable on high Quality of Service and Customer satisfaction
  • Collect functional and technical requirements from Client when needed, write technical specifications.
  • Install, configure and run different tools integrated with JIRA & Confluence.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science
  • A minimum of 5 Years relevant experience in the IT field with good knowledge in Operating systems, virtualization, hosting and support.
  • Advanced skills in Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Advanced skills in Web servers such as IIS, Apache, and Nginx.
  • Good skills in MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgre and Oracle Databases.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills and timely actions
  • Excellent Communication Skills. Proficient in English, written & Oral
  • Knowledge in Code source management, such as Git & SVN
  • Hard worker with high flexibility in daily work.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Self-Organized with People & Project Management skills.
  • Customer oriented with a Teamwork attitude.
  • Flexible to adapt quickly to changes in an Agile Environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and evolve skills.
  • Proactivity instead of being reactive to oversee and prevent IT crisis.
  • JIRA and Confluence administration expertise is a big plus.
  • ITIL certification is a big plus
