Job Description
Purpose of the job
- The holder of this job shall maintain the financial health of the organization, produce financial reports and develop strategies based on extensive financial research.
- This position shall also contribute to guiding senior positions in making crucial business decisions in both the long and short term.
Accountabilities and Duties
- Provide financial reports and provide interpretation of financial information to managerial staff
- Coordinate with departments across the organization and advise on investment opportunities and provide strategies that the organization should follow
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the organization’s actual performance compared to the business plans
- Conduct reviews and find solutions for cost-reduction opportunities
- Oversee operations of the Finance Department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for how those are to be met
- Responsible for the preparation of the organization’s budget
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Responsible for forecasting cash flow positions and available funds for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet on going operational and capital investment requirements
- Report to management on variances from the established budget, and provide the reasons for those variances
- Engage in on-going cost reduction analyses concerning all departments of the organization

Job Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Finance field
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant certifications are preferable
- Excellent knowledge of electronic spread sheets
