Job Description
- Exchange correspondence with clients regarding the current status of their intellectual property rights.
- Respond to customer inquiries about intellectual property rights.
- Conducting searches for local and international trademarks in the Trademarks Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Internet.
- Submit trademark registration applications.
- Submit trademark applications for trademarks.
- Implementing amendments, transfer of ownership, merging and licensing of trademarks.
- Drafting of opposition and appeals to trademarks.
- Procedures for trademark renewal.
- Translation of trademark documents (eg, deed of assignment, licensing agreements, certificate of change of name/address of trademark owners, certificate of incorporation, trademark classification).
- Prepare and issue invoices for services rendered for trademarks.
- Preparing reports on the current status of trademarks.
- Dealing with various governmental bodies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Culture, Embassies and Consulates, Courts, General Prosecution Office, Police Departments, Customs Authority, Notary Public, Post Offices, WIPO and African Intellectual Property Organization.
- Prepare monthly reports on the department's performance.
Since the position does NOT require a degree in law, Faculty of Law graduates are NOT encouraged to apply.

- Fluent in English language.

- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
