Job Description

Key Performance Indicators

  • Ticket sales and leads generated for B2B activities
  • Development of innovative PR, Partnership and ATL strategies and delivery of marketing campaigns, which support the Portfolio 365 objective, in line with key business objectives set by Portfolio Director
  • Development of objectives with supporting KPIs and ensure regular reporting of activity, ensuring effectiveness is continuously evaluated
  • Evolve brand identity and positioning of brands working with Portfolio Director and Event Manager
  • Ensure campaigns delivered are on time and within budget, and meet expectations
  • Development of presentations, communications plans, partnership engagement programmes, press releases
  • Continual optimisation and maximisation of the budget.

KEY DIMENSIONS:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning and Strategy

  • Develop a 365 communications approach for the Pop Culture portfolio which includes Middle East Games Con and Middle East Comic Con
  • Development of the ticket strategy for Middle East Film & Comic Con, Middle East Games Con, and other Pop-Culture portfolio events
  • Identify target universe and key segments within target universe
  • Guide the team and develop working personas, value propositions and messaging for each of the key segments
  • Build, guide the creation of, and execute annual show PR, partnerships and ATL strategy and plans in conjunction with Digital Director and Portfolio Director
  • Translate complex concepts and business needs into simple, creative, and impactful scaled marketing programs
  • Establish and track metrics and campaign analytics
  • Manage the marketing budget
  • Identify, with sales, short, medium and long-term marketing priorities that will advance business objectives, and align the appropriate resources to deliver against these goals
  • Manage the creative roadmap and growth strategy with Portfolio Director
  • Contribute to other team projects and initiatives, remaining flexible and willing to contribute
  • Provide critical reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Digital Director to ensure digital and non-digital opportunities are being maximised
  • Creation and management of achievable timelines and budgets
  • The Marketing Manager will be supported, in part, by the Video & Graphic Designer, and the Marketing Executive

Partner Management

  • Develop the partnership marketing programme and manage day to day relationships with relevant media partners, content providers, educational partners, and others
  • Establish relationships with and manage strategically important partners to ensure maximum exposure at lowest cost to show budget
  • Create a 12 month partner roadmap and ensure that all partnership opportunities are maximised and our obligations fulfilled to the highest standards
  • Provide critical reporting to internal and external stakeholders

PR Management

  • Grow the pop-culture media database and build strong relationships with key media throughout the year
  • Responsible for the development of all PRLs, stunts, and PR activities aimed at reaching the target audience
  • Responsible for management of the PR agency during projects and campaigns
  • Responsible of accurately reporting on all activity and ensuring metrics are relevant to organisational goals.
  • Recommend external suppliers and ensure adherence to contractual terms and delivery

ATL Management

  • Development, management, and delivery of ATL campaigns and media plans
  • Responsible for recommending media plans and working for find the most cost-effective solution which is aimed at maximising our advertising spend
  • Innovating with creative campaign ideas, working with the Video and Graphic designer, to ensure a stand out ATL campaign, which is leveraged across digital&l

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Significant marketing experience
  • Experience developing a 365 degree marketing programmes
  • Regional experience with running campaigns across multiple markets
  • Understanding of B2C, B2B, B2G marketing, PR, partnerships and advertising
  • Proficiency crafting creative, inspiring, solution-driven stories that communicate complex concepts simply
  • Preference for a fast-paced and dynamic environment; track record working across complex cross-functional teams
  • Execution, prioritization and problem-solving skills that are second to none; resourcefulness.
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion for understanding the different sector insights
  • Left- and right-brain thinker who draws energy from analytical and creative thinking
  • Desire to be part of a fast-growing team
  • Project management and prioritization skills with the ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understanding of digital channels
  • High level of copywriting and collateral production knowledge
  • Fluency in English required
  • Experiencing in managing ticketed events

Desirable

  • Ideally from an agency background, or familiar in managing multiple brands with different audiences
  • Good understanding of the entertainment, gaming, and comic con industry
