Job Description
- Plan, manage and oversee all elements of production in our factory
- Assess and analyze current production methods
- Develop and draft an improved production process
- Product design & drawing.
- Design and implement cost-reductive changes
- Maximize the productivity of machinery and workers
- Follow product specifications and quality control measures
- Determine the needed tools for the machines to deliver the product
- Determine how many workers are needed to man the production line
- Train, supervise, and manage production line workers
- Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
- Make delivery schedule for Product / Project to meet customer deadlines
- Organize plant start-up & shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time
- Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality
- Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required
- Develop and implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantees desired results (auditing 10 % of production) and submit auditing report with all (corrective action & preventive action)
- Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Perform root cause analysis & resolve problems to diagnose the origin of breakdowns (including human error) and troubleshoot problems
- Ensure all steps of the production run smoothly and efficiently
- Educate employees on proper methods in which to operate and engage with machinery
- Work within set budgetary plans for the project and control wasting
- Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks
- Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions and datasheet
- Support and lead continuous improvement, problem-solving and process improvement activities
- Undertake special projects as required and write technical file to be submitted to customer
- Support and lead process improvement activities
- Produce written reports and present progress for project/products and make presentations to senior management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Familiarity with CAD and Solid sheet metal software
- Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access and outlook)
- 3 years of proven experience in production/industrial engineering; managerial experience a plus
- Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mathematics, physics and mechanics
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Planning and prioritizing activities
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to present data effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach
- Ability to effectively lead and direct employees
- Detail-oriented and extremely efficient
- Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationships
