Job Description
- Carry out project scoping and create a clear brief suitable for social media, to ensure readers aims and interests are correctly translated and understood.
- Tailor the content and style of the printed newspaper according to their purpose so that it could be digitally published onto the portal and the social media platforms.
- Understand the target audience - you're not writing for clients, you're writing for readers, so you'll need to know what interests them
- Identify key messages - understand the main thing that we want the reader to feel and do and how to communicate this powerfully
- Work with creative teams to ensure that the visual elements of the digital platforms complement the words
- Identify fresh and interesting angles to support articles presence among social media platforms
- Write for web pages and potential for social media, web portal, slogans, and video script
- Work with the editorial team to review the impact of work
- Identify keywords and trends to guarantee better organic reach for the articles in all platform.
Job Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism or a relevant field
- Prior experience as a Social Media Copywriter with a proven record in engaging posts
- Experience of working with MS Office. (fair experience in design software e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. is a plus)
- Past experience in the Gulf area social networks and copywriting is a plus
- Sound knowledge of keyword research, SEO and analytics tools, especially Google Analytics
- Ability to create innovative web content, supported by relevant images and videos
- Proficiency in Arabic writing is a must
- Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
