Job Description

  • Manage all accounting including month-end and year-end closing ensuring the appropriate application of accounting standards and company policies, and timely review and posting of entries and reconciliations;
  • Structure the finance department across the group and hire qualified candidates for the needed positions;
  • Identify and institute processes for different activities such as collections, receivables, payables, costing, etc. to have more control and better monitoring on the finances of the group;
  • Build and maintain accounting dashboards and reports, month-end close recaps, etc. for ease and effectiveness of senior management review
  • Interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the group’s external auditors and tax consultants;
  • Support management reporting efforts driving visibility to key areas of the business through participating in long term planning and strategy development for continuous improvement and growth
  • Build operational and capital budgets for the group and implement a procedure for periodical review for such budgets;
  • Analyze and implement ERP system enhancements that would automate and ease daily activities as well as increase the visibility into the company’s financial performance and health;

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in finance
  • 5+ years of management position
  • Robust ability to design, implement and monitor internal controls
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and global ERP applications (ex. Odoo, Oracle, etc..)
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and Egyptian Accounting Standards
  • 2+ years’ experience with big 4 audit firms experience is preferable
