Job Description

  • Use your engineering background and operational support experience to act as a front-end interface for Edafa to deliver end-to-end services support.
  • Utilize and advance your administration experience to setup and manage production environments including servers, storage, telecom platforms and physical connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Operating Systems (Linux, Windows and Solaris) in a variety of environments.
  • Support development teams in maintaining, updating and improving development projects in the local environments and on customer side.
  • Administrate and maintain KVM and VMware Environments.
  • Automate Dev-Ops tools using preferred language programming “Bash Script, Python, Perl, PHP”.
  • Receive support calls from customers, troubleshoot the incidents, investigate root causes, co-ordinate and follow-up with development teams while keeping the customer informed with the latest status.
  • Provide progress updates to all stakeholders and apply corrections -if any- and final closure/documentation of incidents.
  • Provide early detection of problems by executing periodic health checks and service KPIs monitoring for production solutions.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux environment.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Knowledge and practices of administration for Operation System(s), Virtualization, Databases and Application Servers.
