Job Description
- Design Implement and configure VMware vSphere, vCenter, vRealize Log Insight, vSphere Replication, and Site Recovery Manager.
- Design Implement and configure VMware vSAN
- Design Implement and configure VMware vRealize Operation, vRealize Automation.
- Design Implement and configure EMC storage VNX, UNITY, XTREMEIO, Data Domain, and Isilon.
- Design Implement and configure EMC VxRail Appliance.
- Design, Implement, and configure Microsoft solutions (DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, SCVMM, SCOM, and SCCM.
- Implement and configure Blades, and Rack Mount Compute solutions.
- Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Write training manuals, SOW, Configurations and Installations workbooks.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, engineering.
- 6+ years of enterprise systems engineering, be a self-motivated leader, highly energetic, with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach.
- Knowledge of server solutions as Cisco UCS, HP, DELL EMC and IBM.
- Knowledge of storage solutions as NetApp, DELL EMC, HP, and IBM.
- Knowledge of Converged Infrastructure solutions as FlexPod and vBlock.
- Knowledge of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure solutions as VxRail,…etc
- Understanding of Server and Desktop virtualization especially in VmWare.
- Knowledge of security solutions as F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet and Juniper.
- Knowledge of Backup solutions as Veeam, EMC Avamar, VMware Site Recovery Manager, IBM Spectrum,….etc
- Technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities.
- Experience with Data Center management and monitoring software.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level technical decision-makers.
- Experienced solving problems with solutions that can address on-premise, Hybrid, to off premise strategies
- Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues
