Senior Media Relation Specialist

Purpose:

• The mission of The Office of Media Relations is to advance Innovation Clients image and reputation locally, nationally and internationally by communicating and telling the stories that move people to become involved with.

Job Duties:

• Manages media relations and serves as a media officer for the Innovation.
• Works with his/her manager to develop strategic media plans; advises on targeting stories in support of strategic initiatives to appropriate media.
• Develops and maintaining positive relationships with local, regional and national media.
• Develops new and maintains current relationships for Innovation and clients with media organizations such as newspapers, local television and radio stations and television networks.
• Arranges interviews for clients with local and national media and editorial boards.
• Writes reviews and advises on design of stories, videos and other features with media potential and pitches those stories to appropriate national and local media.
• Produces scripts and helps shape news stories that have local and national television potential.
• Researches story trends and develops and corresponds with media to position Innovation, research and Clients as potential future stories to cover.
• Prepares and submits reports regarding area operation, including an annual media relations plan.
• Assists reporters and editors in their efforts to understand the mission and activities.
• Plays pivotal role in handling crisis communications and managing Clients response to negative issues.
• Develops and maintaining positive relationships with local, regional and national media.
• Also make sure the writing is easy to read and fits the publication's editorial style.
• Fixing any grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors.
• Also double check that names, places and organizations are spelled properly and those facts, dates and statistics are accurate.
• Develops new and maintains current relationships for Innovation and clients with media organizations such as newspapers, local television and radio stations and television networks.
• Write a wide variety of content for different clients in Arabic.
• Coordinates media trainings with Manager, staff and administrators.
• Write pitches, backgrounders, press releases, key messages and blog posts.
• Perform as spokesperson and coordinate media inquiries official response.
• Propose ideas proactively for media pitches to stimulate media coverage.
• Manage and supervise media events along with initiatives defining company story.
• Identify proactive trade stories, business as well as consumer media across other divisions.
• Develop and maintain close media relations across other divisions to improve press efforts.
• Support framing and development of main message points for the better position prior to media interviews.
• Provide Arabic content pieces within the deadline.
• Provide Arabic content pieces within the deadline.

• Support our team and other departments when needed.
