Job Description
- Work directly with Planning, Procurement, Supply, Logistics, Scholastic Businesses, and vendors to prioritize title lists and ensure that products are completed and shipped in time to meet end-use dates
- Create and implement preproduction schedules from conception through completion of the final product, based upon master schedules, vendor lead times and specific end use needs
- Oversee approvals at all stages of preproduction
- Ensure all invoices are processed in a timely manner and variances are resolved
- Provide schedule status updates.
- Ensure accuracy of the information in Epic Prepress System
- Conduct color reviews and press checks as needed to align with quality standards.
- Partner with the Safety department for all items requiring safety testing
- Review work processes on a regular basis to determine ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs and incorporate new technology
- Responsible for paper stock movement and procurement.
Job Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in the printing industry in a managerial level
- Wep and digital experience is a plus
- Excellent command of English is a must
- Previous experience in the Gulf area is a plus
- Very good knowledge of Computer software and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of prepress, Offset printing, magazine printing and letter shop collation/distribution (Wep & digital printing experience is a plus)
- Basic paper type and resources knowledge
- Has full managerial responsibility, that is, assigns work to staff, sets goals, evaluates performance, plans staff development, and makes and approves people management decisions
