Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts department or initiator to clarify or complete information; determines method to process requisition based on amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding.
Identifies and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities as per the procurement guidelines, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and places orders.
Identifies requesting departments needs and develops and refines specifications for commodities, supplies or equipment.
Interprets and communicates purchasing procedures to departments and to the procurement in the opco`s; assists departments in initiating requisitions and orders.
Writes and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposals; receives and analyzes bids, quotes, proposals, and awards the contract.
Resolves purchasing problems with vendor when escalated from the Opco`s.
Follow up PR and PO status.
Updates the functions with latest innovations and new trends.
International experience of head-hunting suppliers.
Manage the production category buyer and give them the necessary support.

Share gained knowledge with his subordinates.
Reporting.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of internal and external procurements and logistics
Worked in an industrial repetitive mass production environment (FMCG)
Familiar with SAP
Good English
Excellent excel
