Job Description
- Oversee all plant HACCP, pre-requisite quality programs, and all quality/food safety related programs to meet regulatory and/or customer requirements.
- Responsible for all quality and product safety functions at ESFIC facilities and warehouses.
- Champion quality and food safety initiatives to monitor and document product, facility and worker compliance.
- Ensure plant audit corrective action plans are implemented in a timely manner.
- Organize training lessons for new company procedures and reinforce the existing procedures throughout the company.
- Interface with all regulatory agencies and customers insuring optimum support.
- Issue, review and maintain product specifications, certificates of analysis, and all other QA documents.
- Conduct relevant physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on raw material as per specifications.
- Ensure all sanitation and safety guidelines are being met throughout the organization.
- Review lab testing on the product and testing of the facility.
- Generate reports describing QA activities, trends, and expenditures as well as communicate findings and action plans to necessary/appropriate parties.
- Respond to quality or products safety related concerns and complaints with corrective action reports.
- Responsible for the quality performance of the project, QC systems, and procedures.
- Responsible for all quality related liaison activities with Contractor.
- Ensure that the project quality system is managed and controlled.
- Review with Project Engineers the preparation of method statements, inspection and test plan and project quality-related requirements.
- Ensure that site inspection controls are enforced.
- Technical documents submittal/review.
- Visit of supplier’s site to ensure that quality in fabrication and manufacture is maintained to the required standards.
- Liaise with third party inspection on testing.
- Review the QC system and implement improvements.
- Control, maintain and implement the verification of quality documentation/records.
- Ensure that daily and monthly quality reports are compiled.
- Participate in the project internal quality audits.
- Inventory control of the full product and its validity
- Experience in Frozen Vegetables Is a Must
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred.
- Knowledge in food safety is a must; GFSI, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000
- Experience in Frozen Vegetables Is a Must
