Job Description

Main Job Duties:

  • Provide, interpret and report accurate and timely financial information as per deadlines.
  • Prepare forecasts and devise departmental annual budgets.
  • Manage budgets and monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends.
  • Formulate department business plans that are aligned to strategic plans and goals.
  • Research and report on factors influencing business performance
  • Determine and enforce the appropriate financial control framework that minimize financial risk.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities on a company wide basis.
  • Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring and reporting is carried out.
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations, eg; tax office.
  • Liaise and negotiate, as appropriate, with the funding authority and other funding sources on future service delivery initiatives and developments.
  • Maintain appropriate relations with funders and make reports as necessary, ensuring compliance with any contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for funded development of the service and to submit bids and applications accordingly.
  • Arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities that provide best terms for the company.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Make recommendations for staffing and new recruits.
  • Line manages subordinates, in line with the performance management system.
  • Works with other departments to ensure cohesive interdepartmental relations.
  • Attends and participates in management meetings as and when necessary.
  • Carries out assignments as and when required by Senior Management

Job Requirements
