Job Description

Job Summary: Business Development Manager works to improve corporate market position, scans the market for new business opportunities and achieves financial growth.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies new opportunities and leads for sales campaigns that can lead to increased sales.
  • Identifies and captures additional revenue opportunities.
  • Identifies and captures profitable business opportunities.

Technical Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day of department operations and assures a smoothly functioning and efficient function.
  • Establishes departmental action plan, budget and work schedules in accordance with Business Director.
  • Attracts target and potential clients to boost business growth.
  • Assists with forecasting and determining sales targets.
  • Discusses and consults with other managers on the latest business trends with a view to introduce innovative products or services in the future.
  • Maintains an excellent client relationship with the existing and potential client.
  • Builds key customer relationships, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Identifies opportunities for campaigns, services and new distribution channels that poster corporate revenues.
  • Opens business development communication with strategic customers with particular interest is to build larger strategic accounts.
  • Performs other tasks in his area of specialty as required.

Job Requirements

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration preferably in Marketing or Sales Major.
  • 10 years (or plus) of experience in sales/business development in the food industry.
  • Proven track record of developing new businesses.
  • Strong in client connection and client services.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and advanced coaching skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong management and governance skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and evaluation skills.
