Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• During engineering phase, play a major role in calculation/defining the optimal quantity of the materials (MTO) as per the stage design reviews.
• Prepare cost estimates/budget and establish minimum quantities for release of manufacturing the material (aiming for no variation notes) to Manufacturers without impacting the project schedule.
• Closely working together with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to identifying their specialties and scopes for the project in order to finalize the optimum prices for each element of the project with support of procurement.
• Support stakeholders such as engineers, workers, and contractors to derive efficiencies such as labor costs, construction costs, and construction methods to support improving the cost and schedules and keeping an eye on unforeseen delays such as weather delays, , materials shortages, labor shortages, etc.,
• Regular visits to the construction site for getting an actual feel for the progress of the project, face to face interaction with the construction team and analyzing the task requirements ahead of time and gauging the performance of the team ensuring better tracking of progress and compare it to the actual plan.
