Job Description
Lead and deliver projects to clients (Primarily banks but also Governments and Merchants as required) on operations and risk topics for both cards issuing and acquiring. Examples of these topics are listed below:
Fraud management
Authorization optimization
Assessment of in house and third party processing
Operations process optimization (chargebacks, settlements, etc.)
Scheme certification activities
Regulatory and compliance standards
Interchange optimization
GL Reconciliation
Play a role as a risk and operations expert working with a broad set of Mastercard customers as part of the Advisors consulting delivery team to spearhead consulting efforts
Define impact of recommendation on the client’s business and translate into detailed infrastructure requirements
Assume overall project management responsibilities as required: identify project staffing needs, define, conduct, and review required analyses, manage timelines and profitability, etc.
Take responsibility for creating final decks, integrating information from various sources, reviewing output to ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness.
Monitor project budget and take corrective action as required.
Anticipate and manage project risk and ensure appropriate mitigation response is taken
Act as advisor to and maintain ongoing relationships with client executives
30-40%: Sales support, business development and IP creation
Play the role of a subject matter expert on all operations and risk topics
Leverage data and network to proactively identify and develop opportunities for Mastercard Advisors to provide advisory services
Provide sales support as an operations and risk expert including proposal contribution
Where required, lead sales efforts on related topics
Work to develop high quality, world class, points of view and intellectual capital on operations and risk topics
Support efforts to position Mastercard as a thought leader in the payments industry
Capture knowledge on latest trends and share best practices
Create presentations and facilitate discussions to support the sales teams during pre-launch activities e.g. building content and training to help communicate the benefits of Advisors offerings in the risk and fraud area
Develop partnerships with internal Mastercard Safety and Security departments
