About the Job

  • We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.
  • The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with experience in user experience definition and user interface design.
  • Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new, responsive user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Create original graphics designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables).
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
  • Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Possess an advanced knowledge of web and mobile UI adhere to and extrapolate complex design systems and apply to coded pages, screens, and states.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a UI Designer/Front End Developer
  • Able to create complex UI using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript that works on multiple interfaces and environment.
  • First-hand knowledge of user-centered design principles, and UI design practices and methodologies.
  • Experience with graphic development software (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.).
  • Experience designing for mobile platforms.
  • Familiar with git and github.
  • Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience, including accessibility.
  • (Desirable) Experience with web libraries and frameworks such as Backbone, Angular, Ionic, Bootstrap, Jquery, or Ember, and CSS pre- processing frameworks (such as Sass or Less).
  • Ability to operate design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, Inkscape etc.
  • Ability to work as part of a team - both in the context of the Development team, as well as with the greater organization as a whole.
  • Self-motivated and work well under pressure.
