Job Description
- As a Project Controls Manager, he must manage the project control resources required to deliver a multiple million pounds cross functional engineering project and support Projects Department (PD) with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement.
- Setting-up Primavera Project Management System P6v2 for program management across the planning team with all stakeholders.
- Advise the master program for all projects.
- Preparing the daily escalation report for project managers.
- Assisting in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation.
- Assisting in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and project.
- Reviewing contract documents, suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary.
- Arranging planning workshops/meetings to discuss and assist contractors / consultants to close their planning / project control issues. Making recommendations for possible acceleration
- Challenge any claims and EOT requests.
- Developing the document control system and communication flow for the project.
- Reviewing construction program received from contractors and analysing data in line with the contractual requirements.
- Ensuring procurement, material and submittal logs are created and maintained.
- Identifying long lead items.
- Preparing weekly progress presentations for the client.
- Ensuring document and information transfer is managed effectively at site level
- Establishing the document coding structure for all documents.
- Preparing project advice for any site progress / planning concern that may impact site progress.
- Preparing design programs for projects under design and guideline programs for projects to be started / under-progress.
- Preparing risk assessment and mitigation plans.
- Monitoring design, procurement and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Architecture)
- 15+ (all in building construction with at least 5 years in real estate industry)
- Extensive Experience in Working with FIDIC Suites of Contracts
- Very Good Command of Arabic and English language skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in scheduling software including Primavera p6.2, Claim Digger, Schedule analyzer and other presentation software like MS office, Visio, Crystal reports etc.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
- Willing to share information and develop junior staff
