Job Description
- Ensure vessel calls are handled within the planned berthing window, that all cargo is loaded/discharged as planned, and that all arrangements and associated documentation are in full compliance with port requirements and regulations, and updating relevant systems.
- Preparing (dealing with the Masters, in certain cases) and properly circulating the required pre-arrival forms (Immigration, Garbage, ISPS, Hazmat, Port Services, Fire Guards, … and so on)
- Organize/provide husbandry services to HLAG and others operated vessels, and act as a local focal point as needed between ship and Marine Operation Team Leader.
- Ensure that the berthing windows with terminals are coordinated and synchronized with the proforma vessel schedules and that coastal schedules are maintained
- Coordinate vessel arrival and departure and assist with husbandry issues
- Prepare security gate list for incoming HLAG vessel
- Investigate and pursue any damage to ships’ structure
- Arrange to sign off/on any crew while the vessel is alongside as per crew dept. instructions.
- Arrange parcel delivery to Ship Master/cash to Master if any.
- Follow up receiving/settling the invoices of all concerned authorities (port, immigration, health, and Maritime safety) in time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in logistics, business administration, or equivalent
- Two years of experience within vessel/terminal/cargo operations in a similar position
- Team orientation - stress tolerance – adaptability/flexibility -time management, communications, innovator, professional attitude, achievement drive, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to guide directs and mentor subordinate staff and to carry out a number of different tasks, be good at following instructions and explaining them to others.
- Organization skills, Strong personality, and Comfort in complex and stressful logistical environments
