Job Purpose:
- Promotes/markets and oversees the operation of the Little Medical School or other educational endeavors of Little Medical School by executing the courses as developed; monitoring, assisting with, and providing a safe environment conducive to learning, keeping staff informed in the process.
Duties:
- Promotes/markets/presents the Little Medical School to targeted audiences. Sells Little Medical School courses.
- Establishes positive relationships with Little Medical School customers.
- Finalizes and confirms agreements to provide Little Medical School courses. Books and tracks commitments to provide courses with schools and other customers.
- Works with upper management as necessary, to identify, recruit, and train instructors for the Little Medical School, ensuring that all instructors are thoroughly qualified to instruct at their assigned venues.
- Schedules instructors to present Little Medical School courses, by maintaining an up-to-date listing of qualified instructors.
- Establishes a back-up plan to provide coverage of all Little Medical School courses.
- Teaches classes, if necessary.
- Acts as emergency contact for instructors.
- Responds to emergency situations as deemed necessary.
- Serves as the point person for all instructor related issues.
- Works with upper management to tailor the course of study for different age groups and venues.
- Interfaces with instructors to facilitate the pick-up and delivery of materials used in Little Medical School courses.
- Develops and presents educational programs for various constituencies by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the internet.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing established written standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
