The Business Analyst will get the most out of our seller database. By gathering insights from the raw data, you should be able to construct a credit-scoring model, which will be used to take the loan underwriting decision. Our Analyst will provide insights to business leaders for making daily, weekly, monthly managerial decisions. Our new team member will participate in developing the reporting domain as well as provide ad hoc analytical support for our activities across countries.
Main Responsibilities
- Designing, delivering and improving a credit scoring model for Jumia seller
- Validating and testing the credit scoring model
- Tracking Performance of Jumia Lending
- Developing and improving the reporting domain
- Mining data in order to propose new analysis and evaluate feasibility of fulfilling new information requests from management.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or IT related field
- 2-3 years of experience
- Prior experience in an analytical role and data visualization tools (PowerBI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.);
- Highly proficient SQL languages and in Microsoft applications (mainly Excel);
- A statistical programming language like R or Python would be much appreciated;
- Being familiar with clustering & regression techniques would be a plus;
- Proficiency in English.
