Job Description
Advanced Development Division at Sypron Solutions is seeking a talented software engineer to design and build applications and services related to big data analytics. Successful candidates will work as part of a team on designing, implementing, and verifying big data analytics engine for a number of potential domains such as precision agriculture, customer relationship management, supply chain management and smart factories to name just a few.
As a Big Data Engineer, you will utilize programming tools such as Kafka, Spark and other Hadoop ecosystem tools (e.g. Hive, Pig, Sqoop, flume, MapReduce,) and NoSQL database management systems to bring together a diverse and massive set of data sources and making them easily accessible and useful for further analysis. You should be highly self-motivated with a strong problem-solving and analytical nature, love of learning, passion for insight, and desire for achieving results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, tune, and scale Big Data platforms
- Extract data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop robust and presentable big data visualizations
- Develop non-graphics/GPGPU big data analytics code in a GPU programming language
- Explore applied research ideas and emerging technologies and formulate and execute R&D projects in big data analytics.
- Develop and document intellectual property.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor Degree
- Preferred: Master’s Degree/Professional Degree
- Major/Discipline: Computer Science/Math/Statistics.
- Exceptional candidates from other disciplines will be considered
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum: 1+ year of Big Data development.
- Preferred: 3+ years of Big Data development.
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithm development
- Strong Python, Java and/or GPU languages coding skills
- Experience with Big Data and Machine Learning frameworks and ecosystems tools, such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Flink, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, TensorFlow.
- Experience with NoSQL database management system such as Apache Cassandra.
- Strong knowledge of memory, threads/process, and networking on Linux
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and technical writing skills
- Functional experience in predictive maintenance is plus.
