Job Description
- Managing inventory based on demand and cost targets.
- Must avoid the costs of carrying excessive inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
- Sourcing quality parts at the right price
- Identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer replacement parts that match the quality of the originals.
- May have responsibility for selling parts to customers, in addition to meeting internal repair requirements.
- Set prices and discount levels and plan promotions to increase sales.
- Identify prospects for volume sales, such as fleet operators or independent service and repair centers
Job Requirements
- Must have experience in an auto repair or auto parts sales.
- Excellent product knowledge, good administrative skills and inventory management experience are important.
- Must have knowledge of stock-control systems to effectively record and analyze the movement of parts.
