Job Description

Job purpose:

As a Food Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in the club's F&B operations. You will ensure that all food safety protocols and standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), are followed and that compliance with relevant food safety regulations is maintained. You will be accountable for managing food safety incidents and conducting investigations to determine the cause and implement corrective actions. You will also be responsible for managing food waste by developing and implementing a food waste management program.

What do we expect from you: 

1- Key responsibilities:

  • Review and develop food safety protocols and standards, including HACCP, and ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations
  • Conduct regular food safety inspections of the club's F&B operations to ensure that all food is being handled and stored properly
  • Respond to food-related incidents, such as food poisoning, and conduct investigations to determine the cause and implement corrective actions
  • Manage food waste by developing and implementing a food waste management program
  • Work collaboratively with the QHSE Manager and other stakeholders to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement in food safety management
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in food safety regulations and ensure compliance with these regulations in all club F&B operations
  • Work with the QHSE Manager to implement safety initiatives

2- People Management:

  • Provide employees with relevant information, resources and training on food safety systems and procedures
  • Set department objectives and KPIs and ensure each team member has clear objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the People Team to recruit, train and supervise food safety staff
  • Create a performance-driven work environment that uses recognition and performance feedback to promote teamwork and mutual respect

3- Reporting:

  • Food safety incident reports: documenting any incidents related to food safety that occur within the club's F&B operations
  • Food safety inspection reports: documenting the results of regular food safety inspections of the club's F&B operations
  • Compliance reports: ensuring that the club is meeting all relevant food safety regulations and laws

Job Requirements

What do you need to perform your role:

To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, microbiology or related field, or equivalent
  • HACCP Certified or Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate is a plus
  • Proven experience as a food safety supervisor or relevant position

Skills and knowledge:

  • Good command of both written and spoken English language
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • Good knowledge of food safety regulations, data analysis and risk assessment
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Naturally collaborative and able to quickly build effective working relationships and influence across the organization and with external partners to improve practices
  • Resilient and able to manage competing priorities
