Network Engineer

The purpose of this position is to take care of the day to day tasks assigned to the network services department.

• 1st level support for network related issues.
• Monitoring and reporting network performance using available monitoring tools.
• Implement assigned tasks (installation/configuration) for users’ machines/IP-Phones
• Administrate all activities Network services to ensure maximum uptime.
• Implement network basic switching setup”VLANs, and Port Security. …, etc. “
• Follow up opened ticket to ensure that network issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Control technical and operational compliance of all networking to optimize the efficiency of the network
• Update network documentation and data changes related to daily tasks.
• Utilize network management systems to monitor, diagnose, control, alert and measure network performance.
• Implement network basic routing setup” WAN technologies, basic routing protocols)
• Support and following up with technicians whenever (LAN/WAN) installations needed.
• Analyze logs to deliver information about strange behavior and expected future incidents.
• Perform basic network tasks.
• Assist huge network tasks (maintenances and projects)
• Report tasks progress and success to direct supervisor.
• Follow direct supervisor’s instruction and follow checklists for daily tasks.
• Respond on any tasks or emergency situations.
