Job Description
- Trend research: Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
- Creating concepts/ideas for the upcoming season (for each category).
- Creating color board.
- Presenting initial sketches for the season collection: that are trendy, doable and sellable.
- Developing fabric suggestions for the whole collection. Based on the known fabrics, and proposing new fabrics as well.
- Meeting with the peers for collection presentation discussion.
- Readjusting the collection, following the comments & notes.
- Getting approval for executing.
- Finalizing the whole collection using computer-aided design (CAD) with all its details; color-ways, accessories, notions, artworks…etc.
- Working with others in the design team, such as fabric mills, pattern makers and print house, to develop products to meet a brief.
- Developing detailed tech-packs for production.
- Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. and technical specifications for designs.
- Cooperate with supply chain dept., in selecting fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments.
- Adapting existing designs for mass production.
- Following the assigned agenda to meet deadlines.
Job Requirements
- +2 years of experience in Fashion Designing.
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred in Fashion).
- Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Pattern making & Fabrics and textile & Fashion designing.
- Creative.
- Attention to details.
- Have a very good analytical skills.
- Organized and planned.
- Flexible.
