- Develop accurate material requirement forecasts based on project demands, production schedules, and historical usage data.
- Work with project managers and production teams to plan Raw materials & Spare parts in alignment with project deadlines and installation phases.
- Continuously review and adjust forecasts based on project changes, material lead times, and usage rates.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock.
- Conduct regular reviews of stock levels, lead times, and demand patterns to ensure timely availability of materials in coordination with the Warehouse & Production planning teams.
- Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory, manage stockouts, and optimize warehouse storage space.
- Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address potential delays, quality issues, or adjustments in quantity.
- Assist in creating material budgets and cost forecasts based on project requirements with the stakeholders
- Track and analyze material costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report variances against budget.
- Work closely with procurement and the plant teams to identify alternative suppliers or materials when cost-effective options are required.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure that materials are available as per production and project schedules.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust material plans as needed to meet changes in production demands.
- Support the operations team by communicating any potential material shortages or delays that could impact production.
- Maintain accurate records of material requirements, forecasts, inventory levels, and usage trends.
- Generate regular reports on material availability, inventory status, and project-specific material tracking.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement in material planning processes.
- Ensure that materials meet company and industry quality standards and comply with relevant safety regulations.
- Coordinate with quality control teams to monitor incoming material quality and address non-conformance issues.
- Support quality improvement initiatives by working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
