Student Wellness Coordinator

• Student Wellness Coordinator guides and assists students at different wellness levels. 
• The jobholder acts as advocates for students’ well being, and as valuable resources for their educational advancement. 
• As a student guide, you are requested at first and foremost listen to students’ concerns. As social life is different, the student guide could be the person who fulfills that need for them at a given time.
• He/she may help students with issues such as bullying, disabilities, low self-esteem, poor academic performance and relationship troubles. 
• He/she can refer them to a psychologist or mental health counselor for further treatment if necessary. In addition, 
• He/she will evaluate students’ abilities, interests and personalities to help them develop realistic academic and career goals. 
• He/she will facilitate aptitude tests and formulate potential paths to success.

Role and Responsibilities

• Listen, guide and mentor the students’ through challenges and support their wellbeing and assist them in their concerns (academic, social or emotional).
• Help students process their problems and plan goals and action.
• Report to the Student Psychologist on campus the student cases.
• Refer students to psychologists and other mental health resources as guided by the Student Psychologist when needed for one-to-one sessions.
• Conduct group and individual sessions with students related to emotional wellbeing.
• Manage the monthly Wellness Journal team and content by working closely with students to create content that reflect their ideas and emotions.
• Organize and conduct workshops and events that aim at inspiring students and promoting wellness.
• Conduct awareness campaigns on campus to raise the students’ awareness on topics related to society and wellness and encourage them to advocate for good causes.
• Design flyers and promote for events created by Student Wellness.
• Work with the University Psychologist to create the annual plan and its budget for the student wellness unit.
• File and update the students’ cases in a filing system to keep records of students’ standing and progress.
• Work with the Student Development office team in organizing department events as needed.
• Assist the University Psychologist with student cases as needed.
• Assist the University Psychologist with report preparations as needed.
