Job Description
- To Provides layer 2 technical support to ICT Engineers; troubleshooting network and other IT related problems; maintaining workstation and LAN performance to all Information Technology related activities.
- Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Works with Help Desk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
- Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
- Trains and orients staff on use of hardware and software.
- Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
- Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
- Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
- Orders computer supplies.
- Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone systems cable.
- Ensure the company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
- Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers/ supervisors.
- Configure and install server and storage environments.
- Configure and install PCs and printers.
- Perform VMware installations and manage updates/patches as required.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain end-point protection on servers and PCs throughout the organization.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all Microsoft Systems, such as server resources.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media and replicated or sent off site as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information technologies, or closely related field.
- MCP, MCSA, CCNA Certifications.
- Setup and Impalement Windows Severs.
- Knowledge of Administrating Exchange Sever.
- Knowledge of Administrating Active Directory.
- Knowledge of Administrating Microsoft Management System Tools.
- Knowledge of Administrating Kaspersky Security solutions.
