Job Description
For a multinational Company
Import Supervisor -Logistics
- Arrange all kinds of Imports shipping docs.
- Communicate with concerned parties to ensure the release of shipments
- Overlooks all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
- Recommend the best freight forwarder based on historical performance, negotiating prices and conditions to optimize benefit and reduce cost.
- Fill the docs for Import shipping docs.
- Update the status of all shipments and following up on their delivery
- Follow up & tracing the shipment until destination.
- Coordinate with the Clearing Agents and prepare supporting documents required for customs clearance.
- Follow up with the Freight Forwarders, courier, and shipping lines for freight quotations and price lists for Import shipments
- Audit the Clearance, courier & Freight invoices to be signed by the Parts Manager and sent to the financial department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5 – 8 years of experience in Import, Logistics (in Textile Manufacturing is preferable)
- Excellent command of the English language
