Job Description

Curriculum Designer for English

We are looking for an international expert in Teaching English as a Second Language who has worked with learners of English from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Our ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, can build effective and engaging course content, and understand the unique challenges of digital education. You will join our team of course designers and help support our efforts to provide the best language education through evidence-based practices.

you will.. Work side by side with talented content developers, curriculum designers, project managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality content for teaching English as a second language

Own the process of writing, editing, proofreading, and reviewing English learning materials across a variety of products and features, from natural dialogues to engaging narratives to explanations of grammar and pronunciation

Develop educational content that is fun, accessible, and targets English learners at specific proficiency levels

Help develop and implement efficient processes for scaling the creation of educational content

Help recruit, train, and supervise other course content creators

Modify curriculum design based on feeding model

You Have...

Teaching experience. You have experience teaching English as a second language, and you understand the difficulties of English learners with different language backgrounds.

Pedagogical expertise. You are familiar with external standards for teaching English and can design course

curricula that effectively scaffold the learning experience for learners with a particular language background.

Analytical thinking. You are able to think about language in a structured and analytical way. For example, you excel at breaking down grammatical concepts into smaller parts for the purposes of teaching and assessment.

Language expertise. You have native proficiency in American English and at least basic proficiency in one or more other languages.

Strong communication. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Operational focus. You are organized and efficient, and strive to continuously improve your workflow and processes.

Requirements 

MA (or equivalent experience) in TESOL, English, applied linguistics, linguistics, or a related field

Ability to work full-time
