Job Description
Reporting Channel/Interactions:
- Reports directly to the Head of Department Supervises Events Coordinators on daily basis
- Provides functional assistance and direction to University Services/F&B operation
- Interacts with all university departments and students, as well as outside suppliers/caterers, government officials, agents/organizers
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all university functions from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, objectives and time-plan
- Coach, supervise and train Events Office team
- Prepare annual events plan and budgets, as well as ensure adherence
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for best possible offers
- Coordinate all Event Operations with the team
- Define Event Office KPIs and conduct respective evaluation of the Events Team
- Come up with suggestions to enhance the Events Operation & overall satisfaction rate
- Measure and evaluate Event Feedback for continuous improvement objectives and prepare reports
- Ensure daily events are completed smoothly and engage to resolve any problems that might occur
- Handle any ad-hoc assigned duties related to the dept.
Job Requirements
Educational Background:
- University degree in General Management/Marketing or Hotel Management
Experience:
- 8+ Years proven experience in Events Management/Operation
Job-Related Skills:
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail
- Project Management Skills Organizational & Problem-solving Skills
- Knowledge of KPIs for Event Management Outstanding Communication and Negotiation ability
- Customer-service oriented
- Team player with Leadership skills
Language Skills:
- Arabic – Fluent (Written & Spoken)
- English – Fluent (Written & spoken)
- German is an asset
