Job Description

  • Develop a preventive maintenance plan to optimize equipment reliability, ensure timely and efficient implementation of the plan and undertake any amendment to the plan if necessary with the right communication to relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations during the performance of factory maintenance activities.
  • Develop annual maintenance budget, obtains approval and monitors expenditures against set budget.
  • Ensure the availability of required spare parts and manages their consumption in adherence to the budget.
  • Oversee the performance and delivery of third party service providers and subcontractors required for on-site maintenance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and develops corrective action plans to reverse any deviation against agreed standards.
  • Provide specifications and technical support for spare parts internal or external manufacturing.
  • Coordinate the selection of new equipment and provides support to execute capital projects and the installation of new equipment.
  • Initiate and participate in cost saving programs through optimizing and increasing the efficiency of the equipment.
  • Ensure the continuous induction of Moral and Motivation initiatives to ensure high productive and motivated teams.
  • Conduct performance appraisal sessions of his first Subordinates in due time. Ensuring a timely, efficient and objective Performance Management process.
  • Initiate training needs for his team resulting from either channel; performance appraisals outputs, or technical training for newly introduced equipment.
  • Plan for the maintenance of buildings and general utilities (i.e. power, gas, water, steam, chillers, etc,) and ensures proper execution of agreed plans within approved budget.
  • Develop and communicates service level agreements with internal customers and ensures full adherence to them.
  • Plan and manages CAPEX including addition, replacement or expansion of general utilities components according to existing and future demands including the use of third party service providers.
  • Establish and maintains business relations with utilities suppliers and governmental authorities and coordinates with them to secure high level of service and ensures contingency plans are in place.
  • Ensure that workshop capabilities in terms of equipment and resources are sufficient for required service delivery.
  • Buying and negotiation of Spare parts, new machine prices.
  • Responsible of making the third parties maintenance contracts.
  • Ensuring that all quality and Safety systems are in place to ensure the production of the products that are in line with company quality standards

Job Requirements

  • Electrical or maintenance Engineering background is  MUST
  • 12 +  years of experience in complex manufacturing environments, preferably FMCG
  • Fluent English.
  • Leadership skills
  • Decision Making
