- Genovity is looking for an experienced accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
- The accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
- The accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks while complying to company management and Auditor’s requirements. Requirements.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with book-keeping.
- The accountant will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Maintain chart of accounts.
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations set by the company management and Auditor’s
- Maintain daily transactions and accounting entries related to General Ledger, Accounts Receivable & Invoicing, Accounts Payable.
- Maintain accounting entries related to Fixed Assets depreciation.
- Maintain accounting entries related to foreign currency exchange gain and loss.
- Prepare and submit financial reports on quarterly basis and on-request by executive management, such as trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, project cost report..etc.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 2-4 years of experience as a general accountant.
- Good Knowledge of Tax Accounting.
- Professional use of accounting computer systems and MS Excel on a daily basis is a must.
- Previous experience in one of the known ERP systems such as Odoo or Oracle is plus.
- Ability to learn new system as self-learner.
- Computer literate in productivity tools such as excel, word, PowerPoint, video conferencing..etc.
- Strong ability to be organized, and keep track of everything from deadlines to essential files.
- Good command of English/Arabic speaking and writing
- Flexibility & ability to be proactive and take the initiative.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
