- Support the Finance Director in the overall budget control and monitor cash outflows and expenditures.
- Reviews accounts payables weekly
- Liaise with external and internal Auditors and respond to their queries.
- Analyze Internal Audit report, prepare response to them and implement corrective action if required.
- Maintain system of accounts & keep records on all payable transactions and assets.
- Assists in developing and implementing new accounting techniques and systems or in modifying existing methods and procedures.
- Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current & projected company financial position.
- Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Develop and implement Accounts Payable procedures
- Supervise the daily activities of the staff accountants and supports management in the maintenance of accounting systems and provision of information.
- Ensure an accurate and timely closing of accounting books.
- Ensure the timely reporting of monthly and year-end financial information.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions related to Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.
- Supervise the completion of day-to-day accounting operations and their accurate booking in the financial automated system.
- Responsible to avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, recommending new procedures and improvements.
- Responsible for the preparation of accurate general ledger accounts, trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and any other relevant financial report.
- Responsible for the review, investigation and correction of errors in the accounting entries
- Provide support for human resources in this area, ensuring the performance assessment process, as well as identifying development and training needs.
- Ensure that the Quality, Safety and Environmental systems are followed.
- Translate the objectives of the management into operational objectives, ensuring that they are carried out.
