Job Description
- Checking the validity and condition of all safety equipment available on site.
- Monitoring the contractor's tasks in the building and stop them in case of any deviation in safety system or any potential risks.
- Checking the condition of emergency routes and egress are in the required safety.
- Ensuring no combustible/ flammable materials around and reporting to safety engineer.
- Permanent walk-through in the building during/after duty and focusing on the places of danger (stores and warehouses, production halls, electric control panels, and electrical wiring, maintenance workshops etc).
- Daily reporting the observations and actions to the safety supervisor
- Ensuring workers compliance with PPE's
- Ensuring the building is free from any potential risk
- Giving the priority for the quick reaction in emergency situations, fire fighting, supporting for evacuation and workers rescue
- Ensure proper implementation of safety guidelines during work permit execution
- Doing any additional tasks assigned to him by direct manager
Job Requirements
- Full knowledge of the designated building and its entrances, exits and emergency doors as well as all its contents of equipment, purpose of its existence and methods of operating/turning off when necessary.
- Full knowledge of the preventive measures applied in the building like safety equipment, alarms, and extinguishers
Qualifications
- Diploma in safety from OSHA / Any authorized agency
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in safety department of the paint / chemical / FMCG / Food industry
- Desirable not mandatory certificate of internal auditor in the ISO field
Technical Skills
- Auditing skill
- Knowledge of processing of shop floor
