Job Description

As a QHSE Specialist you will be a part of the Power Grids Division and Business Unit High Voltage Products based in 10th of Ramadan City; Egypt. You will contribute in improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and Corporate Responsibility in assigned geography. Support the business by applying in-depth knowledge to offer solutions and advice through delivery of group-wide performance improvement programs and/or group audit program.

Tasks:

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Performing ISO audit compliance in PGHV with ABB way implementation.
  • Delivering and deploying Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training, auditing and performance improvement programs to the divisions and local business units.
  • Providing analysis of OHS data within area of responsibility.
  • Reporting on progress on implementation of sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) as required.
  • Contributing to assessing emerging OHS trends and legislation and communicating relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and geography.
  • Supporting constituent countries to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations.
  • Contributing to driving behavioral change and continuous improvement though delivery of training and competence initiatives.
  • Supporting the local business units in line with yearly HSE plan agreed with the business units and sharing of best practices.
  • Coordinating and reporting on OHS performance and support delivery of group audit program.
  • Collaborating across functions and with business partners to raise awareness of OHS standards and initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility.
  • Contributing to and/or plans and executing Occupational Health and Safety performance and related projects.
  • Developing and reporting on project objectives.
  • Managing project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors.

Job Requirements

  • You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with 4-5 years of experience in Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE). Knowledge of OSHA, ISO standards with QHSE experience in any multinational organization is preferred.
  • You should have NEBOSH certification. Good communication skills with proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
