Job Description
Teacher's duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning
- Long term plan (yearly plan) setting aims and matching them to school mission, in addition to the syllabus distribution, and grade distribution.
- Intermediate plan (quarterly) setting the topics to be covered in each quarter matching the goals to the aims.
- Short term plan (daily/Weekly plan according to the subject); state the objectives of each lesson and how they will be achieved, including seating arrangement, activities, group/pair work and physical conditions besides emergency plans
- Preparation of task sheets, worksheets, A-V aids before the beginning of the week.
- Plan books, worksheets, and A-V aids —which are school property — should be kept in school all the time.
2- Students
- Engaging students in active learning.
- Encouraging students to participate in all class activities and discussions.
- Emphasizing expressing and sharing ideas between students.
- Enhancing team work, group work and pair work.
- Helping students discover their learning abilities and styles.
- Encouraging students to participate in extra-curricular activities and to develop their skills and talents.
- Motivating students to finish given tasks in allocated time (punctuality).
- Helping students take pride in their culture while appreciating the culture of others.
- Catering for different needs.
- Increasing student/ student interaction.
- Advancing problem solving, creative thinking and critical thinking.
- Motivating and disciplining students.
- Student referrals
- Attending PTA meetings
3- Teacher
- Attitude (supportiveness, inclusion of all students, no favoritism.
- Appropriate use of materials.
- Effective use of visual aids.
- Tone (pleasant, unpleasant, shy, etc...
- Voice level/pitch.
- Suitable teacher talking time (ITT).
- Pace covering of material.
- Teacher /student interaction.
- Appropriate use of wait time at the beginning and end of each lesson.
- Suitable classroom management and environment.
- Efficient use of bulletin boards, whiteboards, and other classroom equipment and tools.
- Penmanship (on board, plan book, copybooks, etc...)
- Good command of subject taught.
- Establishing classroom conduct policy.
- Adequate lesson presentation.
- Variety of testing, assessment and evaluation methods (test for knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, etc...).

Job Requirements
- The Teacher should hold a bachelor degree in the specific field.
- At least 2 years of experience preferably in an international school.
