Job Description
BHA Egypt is looking to hire a dedicated, talented and energetic “Information and Communication Officer” to join our team and be responsible for our communication and promotional plans. Successful candidate will be responsible for the following assigned duties and shall meet the following requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
- Write and ensure a flow of good stories out of case studies produced by the Brooke-veterinarians and making sure that quality pictures accompany the stories.
- Manage Brooke Egypt social media channels (website, Facebook ... etc.) and online platforms including content updates to ensure consistency with Brooke centers.
- Follow up and respond to online postings and complaints, considering timely responses with factual evidence.
- Manage and develop communication and promotional materials such as brochures.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
- Education: University degree in Journalism, Mass communication, Political science or any related field.
- Experience: minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in media relations, public information, journalism or relevant communication role.
- Strong writing, editing, interviewing and proofreading skills both in Arabic and English: adept at writing clean, engaging copy under deadline pressure and respond quickly to a multitude of tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and manage working relationships diplomatically; discretion and creatively.
- Good networking and partnership skills; ability to establish good working relationship with regional, national and local authorities.
- Proficient in MS office, content management systems and social media platforms.
- Good knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/ Photoshop).
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English are essential.
