Job Description
- Direct and coordinate installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Provide technical direction, supervise scheduling of workload, and clarify group priorities
- Review invoices submitted by contractor(s) for all maintenance and operational works and submit to manager for approval.
- Review contractor material quotations; prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery
- Supervise contractor(s) operating in SV to ensure that services are being provided according to contract specifications
- Develop, and recommend new design methods to reduce operating and maintenance costs, and eliminate problems associated with all maintenance and operating works in public areas
- Supervise technical staff on a day-to-day, including determining workloads and schedules, developing, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures.
- Develop periodic reports on maintenance and operational activities along with recommendations for enhancement.
- Liaise and coordinate with other departments as needed
- Communicate with contractors in case of breakdowns in civil engineering operations.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc in civil engineering
- Flexibility to manage unusual events as necessary
- Able to manage staff in a team-based, collaborative, and consensus-driven environment
- Able to effectively organize, manage, and monitor staff, contractors, consultants, and expenditures for assigned maintenance functions
- Able to write complete, concise, and coherent reports with recommendations
- Able to exercise sound independent judgment
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Perfect command of both spoken and written English and Arabic
- Able to develop effective and collaborative working relationships with subordinate staff, fellow managers, and supervisors using principles of good customer service
