About the Academy:

The mission of Renaissance Academy is to provide high quality educational and professional learning, training and services through distinct courses, educational and professional services, and community interactions that cater for the three pillars of the education industry: the student, the teacher, and the school management.

Job brief:

We are looking for an experienced deputy manager of the educational academy - Renaissance Academy (RA) - to assist the manager with the planning, coordination, development and administration of programs and initiatives.

  • The deputy manager reports to the academy manager.
  • The manager will assist the manager to plan for the educational and training needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build loyalty to the academy. The deputy manager will assist to plan for the other services provided by the academy that complements the needs of the education industry in addition to the training. Such services are educational and corporate consultancy as well as book selling.
  • The deputy manager will assist the manager to manage all operational activities of the academy including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget.
  • May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training.
  • May be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors.
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Has full authority for personnel actions.
  • The deputy manager will make sure the renaissance club serves the community and develop networks of the students, parents, teachers and school management.
  • The academy deputy manager works across many educational establishments like schools, universities, and other educational institutes and consultants.
  • The academy deputy manager’s responsibilities include enhancing the quality of the courses and educational services provided to the audience.

Responsibilities:

  • The deputy manager should be able to take part of the following responsibilities.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through course types analysis, career paths, quarterly assessment, audience evaluations and feedback, and consultation with line managers.
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations of audience.
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
  • Conduct effective bi-weekly induction and orientation sessions for new members of the Renaissance Club.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
  • Manage training calendar.
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience to assume the responsibilities of a deputy manager.
  • Managerial track record in the education and/or training fields.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
  • Good computer and database skills.
  • BS degree in education, human resources or relevant field
