Job Description
- Design, implement, configure, operate, administer, and upgrade infrastructure Components such as:
- HPE core switches, edge switches, access points, firewalls, etc,
- Antivirus, intrusion detection, etc.
- HPE servers, 3Par SAN storage, and StoreEver tape library devices.
- First and second line of support to all implemented network/security solutions within scope.
- Performing day-to-day monitoring of network security and performance of organization's system as well as identifying and resolving potential security threats, and vulnerabilities of networks.
- Conducting security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to enforce effective security policies, procedures, and solutions that prevent theft or disruption of operations.
- Monitoring and analyzing potential security violations as well as recommending corrective actions.
- Recommending, scheduling, and performing necessary network enhancements and upgrades as well ensuring firewalls, intrusion detection, and various other security systems are kept up-to-date and functional.
- Generating documentation, configuration manuals on all infrastructure components within the scope and producing various reports for all procedures performed.
- Actively Log and track details of solutions\tasks according to reporting standards and procedures.
- Comply with the corporate internal system, rules, policies, processes, and procedures.
Job Requirements
Required Personal Profile & Qualifications:
- University degree plus IT courses relevant to the job is a must.
- 5 years of proven and strong experience in administering and maintaining network infrastructure and security along with the strong knowledge of network topologies, ISP, network analysis and design techniques, configuring and maintaining firewalls, network or server devices monitoring or administration as well as risk analysis and evaluation leading to the following.
- Have domain experience with HPE network solutions and with FortiGate and Sophos Firewalls.
- Good linguistic skills in both Arabic & English, verbal, reading and writing.
- Ability to balance multiple conflicting priorities and make decisions.
- Must be able to maintain focus whilst under pressure.
- Clear and concise communicator.
- Delivery and quality focused.
- Ability to act as part of a team, and in close coordination with direct manager.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to new technologies and still keep a technical edge.
