Job Description
Job Purpose
To execute Materials Requirements Planning across entire horizon of the Manufacturing Resource Plan for selected work centres and run the Performance Management process for incoming materials deliveries. As well as monitoring, maintaining and ensuring complete accuracy of all critical data fields related to incoming materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Running MRP, developing materials schedule for each supplier & ensuring that exceptions are managed / issues are resolved.
- Ensuring requirements are sent to the supplier in the most appropriate way and that the requirements can be met.
- Focus on material availability as per the production schedule requirements.
- Day to day management of issues associated with late deliveries, damaged stock, quality failures.
- Handling MOH requirements to facilitate Materials delivery.
- Working on MOH annual importation plan, completing all requirements & submission on time.
- Keeping optimum inventory and safety stocks on site based on site material stock policy & Segmentation rules.
- Constant monitoring, maintenance and complete accuracy of all supply critical fields within the system.
- Co-ordinate with Inbound logistics section head to accelerate customs clearance process.
- Measurement of supplier performance.
- Identification and mitigation of stock at risk and working with key support functions to decrease inventory write off.
- Support the product discontinuation process assessing material/components position and monitoring them through the discontinuation date.
Job Requirements
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in any related discipline
- 2-4 year’ experience in Supply Chain (Material Planning is preferred).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving & decision-making skills
- Team player.
- Proficiency in MS office (Excel skills)
- Highly numerate with knowledge of planning/scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of MOH regulations.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Preferred experience in BPCS
- Multiple task management
- Adaptability/flexibility
- Attention to details with ability to work under pressure.
- Influencing others.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- APICS certification is preferred.
