Job Description
cost estimation engineer
- Accurately estimate aluminum works (windows, doors, curtain walls) using material costs, equipment usage, and labor hours needed for jobs of all sizes.
- Produce material allocation for projects.
- control projects material from warehouse to site.
- Communicate with Project Managers, Department Managers, and Account Managers to understand project scope, milestones, and goals.
- Produce and follow up on payment requests forwarded to Accounting department, for payment to vendors.
- Generate annual reports containing a comparison between total income (total materials sold) and total costs (total materials bought).
- Generate reports to compare amount of business for two years. (Profitability versus costs).
- Responsible for maintaining the following daily and weekly reports whenever needed showing:
Job Requirements
- required to have experience in aluminum windows, doors, facades curtain wall, skylight and cladding
- experience 10+ years
- Architect-engineer or Applied Arts.
- Experience in calculating material costs.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience.
- Auto CAD experience.
