Job Description

  • Manages the purchasing process starting from developing the purchases specifications, handling the bidding process, evaluating vendors and selecting the best offers in terms of quality, prices and other agreed upon aspects, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates with the warehouse department on checking each martial minimum stock to determine purchasing needs in order to ensure business continuity.
  • Updates the database of vendors consistently, and keeps a bond with them to determine supplies availability and terms of sales.
  • Maintains purchasing information, files and records (e.g. Requests for Proposal, purchase orders, vendor files, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinates with the finance department regarding purchase orders, bills, and an annual budget whenever needed.
  • Serves as liaison with vendors for the purpose of monitoring and consolidation of orders for better management of expenses.
  • Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Administer online purchasing systems.
  • Prepare all the required purchasing reports to be submitted to the concerned parties.
  • Arranges with the concerned committee for the disposal of surplus stocks of materials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • University degree from a reputable institution, any post graduate degree in supply chain management will be a plus.
  • 8 years of experience in the field of purchasing preferably in industrial sector.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Mastering using MS Office package
  • Perfect communication & negotiation skills.
