Job Description
- Receive the purchasing requests from all departments, approve it, and distribute it on the local purchasing representatives.
- Follow up the execution of all local purchasing orders, and ensure that they were executed in compliance with the company regulation on time.
- Directing the local purchasing representatives and support them in negotiations with suppliers.
- Daily follow-up on the performance of the local suppliers.
- Supervising operations of receiving invoices from the suppliers, submit it to the financial department and follow-up suppliers payments.
- Approve receiving orders for local purchasing and ensure delivering them to the warehouse.
- Responsible for reporting the credit balances of the local suppliers to the purchasing manager on weekly basis.
- Develop, update, and maintain local approved suppliers list.
- Source new local suppliers to improve quality, Price and credit terms for the purchasing materials.
- Responsible for handling negotiations with the major local suppliers.
- Responsible for evaluating the performance of the local suppliers and report it to the purchasing manager on a three months basis.
- Close coordination with the procurement manager in evaluating and approving new suppliers.
- Coordinate with warehousing section to ensure receiving the purchased materials from the suppliers.
- Lead and direct the team to achieve the department goals.
- Evaluate the performance of his subordinates and report it to the purchasing manager quarterly.
- Develop and implement cost-saving plans.
- Working through the system (by Oracle).
Job Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience are required in the same industry
- 2-3 years of experience as a section head
