Job Description

  • Handling the whole importation process for a product portfolio, including demand and supply management in addition to inventory control to ensure the timely availability of goods for sales, in accordance with the validated forecast and finished Goods Stock Policy. In addition, coordinating the production process for locally manufactured goods to ensure we maintain the agreed stock cover – Aim is to optimize our customer service and OOS rates.
  • Coordinating activities between cross functions teams internally and at zone level to secure the timely product launches, in order to support the business growth ambitions.
  • Planning for Portfolio and manufacturing sites changes with plants and Regulatory Teams – This involves anticipating changes and events that could affect sales for the next 12-24 months and stock build up planning – It also includes managing code switches, and pruning in order to avoid supply disruptions and ensure we maintain a clean and updated portfolio on all Sanofi systems
  • Ensuring the effective management of importation through Franco, and internalizing the additional activities and processes that was previously handled by Ramco to allow importation - It also involves the proper management of MOH approvals and medical stamp cheques to avoid any delay in clearance activity.
  • Coordinating with IA team the supply plan of locally manufactured SKUs ensuring production planning is taking place in accordance with the agreed SLA parameters – This involves providing proper visibility to the BU regarding goods availability and supply risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Demand Management Process

  • Active Participation in the monthly forecasting meetings to understand market dynamics and potential opportunities in order to align our supply plans accordingly
  • Managing the review of DRP for SKUs with major forecast variations and ensuring we try all possible means to optimize our stock cover; this involves liaising with both plants and other markets, to avoid shortages / overstocking

Supply Management / Inventory Control

  • Ensuring the Demand Replenishment Process, managed in RAG mode, take place, in accordance with the stock cover agreed in the SLAs, to secure goods availability for sales, meanwhile optimizing our customer service and out of stock rates
  • Initiating, new BAD orders for SKU’s managed in BAD mode / Reviewing, on a monthly basis, the BAD orders generated by Manugistics for imported SKU’s, managed in BAD mode, to ensure timely availability of goods for sales in accordance with the agreed stock cover. This involves initiating the necessary ATP to adjust orders in the pipeline, in addition to the initiation of new BADs to secure.
  • Coordinating the shipping process with global DC’s to ensure the proper phasing of shipments, meanwhile optimizing our distribution costs
  • Monthly reporting of supply risks for the coming three months with root cause analysis, at the beginning of week 4 of every month
  • Regularly highlighting of all types of stock at risk; short shelf life and slow moving, to allow for corrective actions to be taken to liquidate stocks and avoid destructions risks

Product Launch Coordination

  • Coordinating all launches activities with Inspire team to ensure the timely placement of production to secure goods availability for launch, meanwhile ensuring the best possible remaining shelf life at point of launch.
  • Handling the ordering process for new launch projects, taking into consideration the price approval and regulatory timelines, taking into consideration the price approval and regulatory timelines.

Budget Updates

  • Ensuring the Bi-annual posting of budget and LRP updates into Product Forward in full-compliance with HFM system (Finance data) & taking into consideration the latest codes.
  • Ensuring timely posting of budget updates into Product Forward taking into consideration pruning decisions and new code switches to allow plants to properly assess the needed volumes and capacities

Job Requirements

Key “MUST HAVE” competencies, skills & experiences

  • Relevant Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 4 years of total experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in demand or supply planning
  • Total years of experience range (4 - 9)
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High numeric and analytical ability with an eye for details
  • Logical thinking and problem solving ability
