Job Description
Role Objective
- Create, manage and maintain the master blueprint (enterprise architecture) that guides the organization’s business and IT systems in multiple EA Domains (Business, Information, Application, and Technology) and Cross-domain Concerns by having the vision and long-term perspective that gives the organization directly. This enables the prioritizing of the business activities of Etisalat and facilitates the adaptation of technology to the changing business needs.
Main Responsibilities:
Architecture Information Repository
- Participate in Refining and Extending Architecture Information Repository
- Taking ownership of Repository Population and Maintenance
- Responsible for Aligning Architecture Repository with Other Enterprise-wide Repositories
Digital Transformation Programs
- New and Emerging Technologies Analysis and Evaluation
- Taking Initiatives and Participating in IT Strategy Formulation
- Enterprise Impact Analysis for New and Ongoing Transformation Programs
- Producing and Maintaining Architecture Guidelines and Requirements for different domains/programs/ initiatives
RFP Construction and evaluation
- Contribute to the RFP generation of new network elements and solutions to ensure consistency and covering overall solution requirements.
- Contributes to the evaluation of the responses to the RFP.
Platform ownership / Main Stakeholder
All shared Platforms across the IT:
- System planning and sizing
- Accepts requirements from demand teams and produce high-level design of the process and be accountable for task implementation during projects.
- Request resources from Service delivery for implementation.
- Provide a detailed documented description of the business process and the business process architecture when needed.
- Review design with service delivery team.
Design review
- Review designs made by domain experts in business, application and technology domains.
Change Review
Be part of the CAB for change requests that impacts the architecture, below are the change requests cases and the involvement required:
- New system, HW, SW or integration point (ie: an integration point is usually connecting two systems together)
- Removal of a system, HW, SW, integration point
- Change of integration protocol
- Keeps architecture artefacts updated with plans and changes in the enterprise architecture repository.
- Enterprise Architects provide guidance to the Project Architects who apply enterprise standards and guidelines at the project level.
Enterprise solution architecture:
- Management of the solution portfolio over time. Facilitate the content development of the enterprise solution architecture, including identifying and categorizing solution patterns and associated financial and technical condition information. Defining the value-add of IT investments to organizations requires risk management, financial management and accounting skills.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- University Degree in Business, Technology and/or Informatics, System Development.
- Minimum 8-year Experience in IS/T area in medium to large scale environment within big industries, preferably IT architecture development and support
- High Communication and Time Management Skills
- Excellent in Arabic & English (Reading, Writing & Oral).
- Proficient in simplifying and standardizing complex business processes and IT systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with Architecture Frameworks, Industry Specific and domain-specific Reference Models
- Able to engage at multiple levels: developer to C level leaders
